The inventor, Tom Veatch, tells the story. "A friend from the meditation center wanted to buy the first one even before the Guru's gift was sent; by a misunderstanding she actually took the display sample home, but left a blank check and a note, Can I take it? she said, You put in the amount. But I couldn't do it, I had to have it back, and do each step in the right order. So I gave a pair to my Guru in gratitude, and now the first one will be offered to the whole world via the EBay auction system. Next, before I can give a price to my friend, I have to know what it's worth! Of course I think it's priceless, but what does the market really want to pay for it? Hopefully EBay will give us that information. If someone wants it for a dollar, and that's it, it'll go out the door at a dollar, and a lesson will be learned! This sale is all about the information, not the profit."

The item on auction is a Wood Top, Medium Height model Siddhasana™ Meditation Seat, Serial Number 5. Stained a lovely pecan color, Serial Number 5 is finished with water-based polyurethane to a semi-gloss finish. Serial Numbers 1 and 2 were gifts to his Guru by the inventor, while Serial Numbers 3 and 4 are display samples not for sale at present. Thus Serial Number 5 is the first one available for purchase, in fact, in history, not just of these seats from Sprex LLC, but of this seat design.
